In the cult hit TV show “Lost” the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 boarded a flight from Sydney to the US, and then crash landed on a mysterious, yet beautiful island. In the show, you couldn’t get to this island without a large scientific team and a huge amount of time and money invested- in real life you can take a direct flight and be at the “Island” in about 10 hours, usually at a discounted rate if you are leaving from Sydney. No time warps or smoke monsters will spoil this trip. Where is this? This is the state of Hawaii, birth place of the current US president. Hawaii is also the only US state that is made up entirely of islands, and is ranked as one of the safest US states.
